An elderly woman has been seriously injured when she was knocked to the ground and mauled by three dogs in Sunbury, Victoria.
The 71-year-old was knocked to the ground by three off-lead and “unaccompanied” dogs as she walked along Heysen Dr on Thursday, police said.
The dogs then bit her on the face, back and legs.

She was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious injuries.
Two men who helped stop the attack suffered minor injuries.

The dogs ran off but were later located and secured.
A member of a local Sunbury Facebook group posted a photo of three dogs they claimed were responsible for the attack.
They appeared to be a staffies or a mixed breed.
Hume City Council has been contacted for comment.
