Ava Gore and Ethan P. Flynn combine…

London rooted project Silver Gore have shared new song ‘Dogs In Heaven’.
The band played a special showcase at The Great Escape earlier this year, a packed out room that saw Silver Gore unveil an immaculate series of cerebral, but deeply enchanting, pop songs.
Freshly signed to Island Records, new single ‘Dogs In Heaven’ breaches the secrecy around them.
Out now, the single finds the duo – Ava Gore and Ethan P. Flynn – melting together studio trickery with a wicked ear for melodies. In places it reminds you of Jockstrap’s curiosities, or even aspects of twinkling baroque pop a la Broadcast.
Very much rooted in how they’re feeling at that exact moment, Silver Gore’s Ava found inspiration in childhood viewings of the animated film All Dogs Go to Heaven. This is contrasted, however, by her adult discovery that one of the child actors had in fact been murdered by her father, shortly before the film’s original release.
“I spent lots of hours alone, watching this film with our family dog,” Ava reflects. “This song is about making decisions and the unexpected consequences that come from them.”
Ben Cole directs the video, an other-worldly visual statement for a song with a transportive impact.
