Reading about Dr. Biswas not being able to compete fairly for residency matching process in Ontario because he didn’t attend high school in Ontario made me puzzled and angry.

Kudos to Citizen letter writer

Kudos to your reader with respect to his views on Peter Hoekstra. Mr. Hoekstra displays absolutely no diplomatic abilities, and should be returned to the US as soon as possible, to be replaced with an ambassador who understands his/her role. I have recently written to Global Affairs Canada, expressing my great displeasure with the current US representative, and I would encourage other readers to do the same.

Those who were able to drive to work, alone, could avoid such risks. But those whose only choice was public transit, could not, and this is reflected in the numbers.

This is neither a defence of working from home, or a critique of return to the office; merely a reflection of what happens with groups of people in close quarters.

Thank you for sharing life story of a beloved dog, Oskar

Article content

Thank you to Oskar’s mother and father for such a beautiful, funny and heart felt story of Oskar, the adorable dachshund.

Some may find it ‘odd’ to submit on the loss of a beloved pet, however; I think it’s wonderful. It was so well written.
