Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari is arguably in the midst of one of his roughest spells of his career this season. Ever since the British driver signed with Ferrari, his list of struggles has only increased.
With only seven rounds remaining in the season, the 40-year-old has no wins or podium finishes. Considering Hamilton’s current trajectory, the seven-time world champion’s 18-year streak of a podium finish in a season might be in serious jeopardy.
While Hamilton was tackling difficulties on the professional side, the F1 icon recently encountered a personal setback with his dog, Roscoe’s illness, which made him and his fans emotional.

Regarding the bond between Roscoe and Hamilton, the two have been by each other’s side for over a decade. The Ferrari driver has spoken about their bond several times and shared many highlights of their time together.
Roscoe, who is almost 13 now and like a “son” to Hamilton, began struggling with his health when he caught pneumonia earlier this year. Though he underwent treatment and recovered partially from the crisis, he was still largely fighting to remain healthy.

Things went further south on Wednesday, when Roscoe had to be put on oxygen support at a veterinary clinic due to his declining health. The Ferrari driver had a tire test scheduled for Friday alongside his teammate Charles Leclerc, which he opted out of to tend to Roscoe.
Hamilton even shared two pictures of Roscoe on his story and updated his fans about the dog’s health. He wrote, “It’s been a scary few hours. Everyone, please keep Roscoe in your thoughts and prayers.”

The seven-time champion was uncertain if Roscoe would ever wake again from the coma. However, the doctors would attempt to wake him up tomorrow.
