Police apprehended three men who are believed to have tortured a dog to demise at Kampung Teluk Tempoyak, Batu Maung, immediately after a movie of the incident went viral yesterday.
Penang police chief Khaw Kok Chin said the adult males, aged among forty and 53, were picked up at about eleven.45pm final night time and 1am nowadays, at different locations in Batu Maung.
“They are a cargo agent, fisherman and bus driver. They have been remanded for three times until eventually July 12 to help with the case under portion 29(one) of the Animal Welfare Act 2015.
“The gentlemen have no preceding legal records and they analyzed adverse for medication,” he stated in a assertion.
Khaw mentioned yesterday law enforcement were being alerted to a movie and report associated to the incident, which is thought to have taken spot at 8.38pm on Friday.
“The incident was witnessed by the complainant who recorded it and sent it to a close friend right before it went viral on Twitter.
